Environmental commitments undertaken

BSB, aiming at preserving the environment, pursues corporate sustainability by taking on the following commitments:

Integrating its Environmental Policy into all its processes while promoting training and awareness raising for employees, partners, customers and internal and external suppliers, so that they can act responsibly in preserving the environment.

Establishing communication related to environmental issues with stakeholders.

Complying with environmental legislation applicable to its activities throughout the national territory.

Pursuing commercial partnerships with suppliers that are or which seek to comply with the environmental legislation relevant to their activities.

Promoting and encouraging training in the areas of social responsibility and sustainability, in order to ensure the dissemination of knowledge of good practices in this area, resulting in the reduction of negative impacts both from its activities and from other stakeholders.

Gradually reducing waste disposal through selective collection of recyclable materials and/or waste in designated and identified locations for separation of paper, cardboard, plastic, and metal, with their final disposal being carried out by a company duly certified by regulatory agencies, keeping records of collections through the SIGOR CETESB System.

Reducing water consumption and waste by using, for production, water stored in tanks for reuse, collected through rainwater.

Reducing energy consumption through a duly approved partner, responsible for controlling the efficiency of our energy matrix, which is monitored through process indicators and dashboards.

Acquisition of clean energy from renewable sources through the Free Energy Market, demonstrating our commitment to the environment and to the global effort to reduce the emission rates of toxic gases into the atmosphere.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by keeping our fleet and its maintenance always updated according to the FOR-110 Fleet Maintenance Checklist and ensuring the maintenance of its air conditioning system.

Continuously improving our environmental management system by establishing, reviewing and monitoring our environmental policy, goals and targets.
